An elderly householder has become the victim of a distraction burglary of Coleraine.
It happened in the town's Westbrook Court yesterday morning.
The culprit got away with cash belonging to the pensioner, after claiming he was from the Water Board.
Police are urging anyone who saw the man acting suspiciously in the area to contact them 'before he deceives someone else'.
'Don’t let strangers into your home. Tell them to wait outside while you verify their details'.
