Local Councillor Eric McGinley has called for a greater PSNI response in relation to ongoing criminal activity in the Ballymagroarty area of Derry-Londonderry.
He says there's been an increase in the number of break ins, burglaries and general crime, however there's not enough being dealt with:
Mr McGinley has requested a meeting with the PSNI to raise these concerns and will be asking for more resources to be deployed to combat the criminal actions of a number of individuals, plaguing the communities.
The Councillor has also said that local people must take the proper precautions to stay safe and protect their homes and properties from theft, especially in the run up to Christmas.
