A decision will be made today at the High Court on whether or not the A6 upgrade will go ahead.
The multi million pound project is the subject of a High Court challenge by environmentalist Chris Murphy.
He launched the judicial review - claiming that a section of the proposed route breached a directive on protected areas.
The A6 is set to dissect the landscape made famous by poet Seamus Heaney.
