Institutional abuse survivors say they're being left with no option but to take legal action against the government in their fight for compensation.

A delegation from pressure group Survivors and Victims of Institutional Abuse (SAVIA) met the Secretary of State at Stormont yesterday.

Representatives say Karen Bradley promised nothing and told them she'll only consider any action after receiving draft legislation being prepared by Stormont civil servants.

But lawyer Claire McKeegan insists a redress scheme recommended almost 18 months ago must be introduced through Westminster within weeks...
