Detectives investigating allegations of abuse at a hospital in County Antrim have made their first arrest.
A 30-year-old man was detained in the Antrim area this morning.
The arrest was made in connection with allegations of ill-treatment of patients at Muckamore Abbey Hospital.
In recent months police have been investigating thousands of incidents, after claims were made about the physical and mental abuse of patients there.
Muckamore Abbey provides treatment for people with severe learning disabilities and mental health needs.
