The PSNI has been receiving reports of anti-social behaviour occurring around the bridge in Cloughmills.
Seargent Stevie Burns said:
"Youths are congregating underneath the bridge with the low water level and have been causing a nuisance in the area.
"We have received reports of kids playing chicken with traffic and walking across the bridge walls instead of using footpaths- both have potentially serious consequences if you fall from the bridge or are struck by passing motorists.
"As a result members from Ballycastle Neighbourhood team and Coleraine LPT will be increasing their presence with in the town to identify persons involved and investigate any offences.
"As a parent/community member I would ask you to speak with your children and advise against this behaviour."
