Police are investigating a possible link between two attempted armed robberies in south Belfast.
Three men were threatened by a man with a large knife on Dunluce Avenue at around 12:20pm this afternoon.
The man demanded they hand over their wallets and phones, and chased them before making off empty handed towards the bottom of the street away from the Lisburn Road.
In a further incident, a woman in Ulsterville Place was left shaken after a man armed with a large knife attempted to enter her house and demanding her purse.
He's believed to have made off towards Donegall Avenue.
The man is described as wearing a bright blue coloured tracksuit, 5'6" in height, with facial hair, of a slim build, wearing a dark-coloured cap and riding a dark-coloured push bike.
The PSNI is appealing for witnesses.
