Disruption has been caused at two schools in County Antrim following two separate incidents.
Police were called to Larne High School earlier today following reports that a suspect device had been left in the vicinity of the school in the Sallagh Park area.
Extensive searches were carried out on the grounds but the alert was later declared a hoax.
Larne High School posted the following statement on its facebook page:
The MP for east Antrim Sammy Wilson has condemned those behind the security incident:
Meanwhile, nearby Larne and Inver Primary School says it also received an anonymous threat this morning after returning from mid-term break.
School Principal Kirk Patterson told Q Radio police were called in immediately.
Two anonymous letters were taken away for further investigation.
