A 47-year-old man has been arrested after an attempted murder in Belfast which left a man needing hospital treatment for head injuries.
He was detained after the disturbance in the Lendrick Street area in the east of the city at around 8:30am this morning.
The 39-year-old victim was treated for cuts to his head and hands, but his condition isn't believed to be life-threatening.
Police are urging anyone who was on this part of the Newtownards Road between 8 and half eight to get in contact.
They can get in touch with detectives at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 446 of 26/11/17.
