A man has been charged over an incident at a house in Coleraine last night which prompted a heavily armed police presence.
The 43 year old was detained in the Mountsandel area on suspicion of assaulting police and possession of an offensive weapon.
Residents say they were told to stay in their homes in Knockantern Grove last night.
It was also reported that an ambulance had attended the scene.
e's now been charged with a range of offences including possession of a suspected firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.
The suspect is due before Ballymena Magistrates Court tomorrow.
