A 77-year-old man has been arrested following a stabbing incident in Newtownabbey.
Police received a report that a man in his 60s had been stabbed at flats in the Rathcoole close area, shortly after 7pm yesterday evening.
The victim is being treated in hospital for injuries which are believed to be serious.
Meanwhile, the suspect is being held on suspicion of attempted murder and wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
He remains in police custody.
