A man being questioned in connection with the murder of Andrew Allen was released from Letterkenny Gardai Station without charge yesterday.
The man in his 50's was arrested by Gardai in Donegal on Saturday.
Andrew, 24 was shot at a house in Links View, Buncrana in 2012.
Andrew, who was from the Top of the Hill in the Waterside area of the city, was one of several intimidated out of the city by dissident republicans.
He had moved to the Links View estate in Buncrana, where he was gunned down through a window after a group of men tried to break down the front door.
The attack had been blamed on the Republican Action Against Drugs group.
