A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted child abduction in Derry-Londonderry.
It follows reports of a man acting suspiciously towards children in the Old Fort area of Strathfoyle yesterday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the mother of a 9 year old boy at the centre of the incident has warned other parents to ‘drum stranger danger’ into their children’s heads.
The woman - who did not wish to be identified - told Q Radio the child was approached while walking back from school and offered £20 to get into a car.
The boy then ran away and alerted his grandmother.
