Man shot in both legs in Derry - Londonderry attack

A man has been shot in both legs in a punishment style attack in Derry - Londonderry.

It's understood to have happened in an alleyway in the Brookedale Park area of Galliagh at around 8pm last night.

Residents say the victim, who was in his 30's, then staggered to a house in the nearby Leafair Gardens area where an ambulance was called.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

Police are appealing for information.
