A man has been treated in hospital for burn injuries following an incident at a court in Co Tyrone.
Police said it was reported a man had thrown hot water over another man, causing burn injuries to his face and upper body, at around 10.52am on Thursday at Strabane Magistrates’ Court.
They said the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service took the victim to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
A police spokesperson said they are seeking a suspect, and made an appeal for information.
“The suspect is reported to have run away from the scene, and police efforts are ongoing to identify, locate and apprehend the suspect,” they said.
“We are liaising with Northern Ireland Courts and Tribunals Service regarding this incident.
“In the meantime, as inquiries continue to establish exactly what occurred, I am appealing to anyone with information, or footage which may have captured the suspect leaving the scene, to get in touch with police by calling 101, quoting reference 409 of 16/04/26.”
