A man from County Down's due to be sentenced later for killing his dog and turning it into pet food.

Former Mental Health Nurse, Dominic O'Connor faces up to five years behind bars.

The 28-year-old from Roden Street in Kircubbin was convicted by a jury last month.

A medical report found he has a "psychopathic disorder".
