Police are appealing for witnesses after a masked man attempted to rob a bookmakers on the Falls Road in West Belfast, brandishing a suspected firearm.
It's believed to have happened at around 11.30am today.
We're told the suspect entered the premises and threatened members of staff before leaving empty handed.
He has been described as being approximately 5'10" tall, of medium build and had a black skeleton mask covering his face.
Police say he was wearing a black jacket, grey jogging bottoms, white trainers and was carrying a black coloured backpack.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the PSNI by calling 101, quoting reference 422 28/08/18.
