Cookstown missionary Maud Kells has returned home for the final time after almost 50 years in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Maud was shot at her home just days after receiving an OBE.
The missionary midwife has been serving in Mulita since 1968, providing maternity care.
Before she left, she was awarded a civic medal by the governor, to honour her tireless dedication to the people of the remote area.
