Two men have been beaten by a gang armed with Iron bars in Newtownabbey.
The victims, aged 33 and 59, were set upon by around three men in the Ballyfore Walk area at 10.15 on Wednesday night.
A number of cars were reported leaving the area with their wheels spinning.
The victims were taken to hospital for treatment.
Detective Sergeant Coulter said: "We received a report around 10:15 pm that two men aged 33 and 59 had been assaulted during an incident involving 3 males possibly with iron bars in the area of Ballyfore Walk Newtownabbey.
"Initial enquires established a number of cars left the area with their wheels spinning .
"The two men were subsequently taken to hospital for treatment at this stage injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
"I am appealing for anyone who witnessed what occurred, or who has any information which could assist our investigation, to get in touch by calling 101."
