Mid-Ulster set to 'disappear' under proposed boundary changes

The constituency of Mid-Ulster will no longer exist.

That's if proposals by the Boundary Commission go ahead.
A new North Tyrone could be born out of the reform.
It would include ten wards from Mid-Ulster - Oaklands, Cookstown East, West and South - as well as Coagh, Ardboe, Stewartstown, Donaghmore, Pomeroy and Loughrey.
Glenshane would house most of the Magherafelt area as the boundary moves south to Lough Neagh. Dungannon, however, which is currently housed by the Mid-Ulster constituency, moves to the new Upper Bann and Blackwater.
The proposals are part of a UK-wide process.
