Newry and Armagh MLA William Irwin has called for justice for the Kingsmills families. His comments follow the weekend arrest of a man in connection with the sectarian murder of 10 Protestant workmen in 1976.
The 59-year-old detained in the Newry area has since been released without charge pending a report to prosecutors.
Mr. Irwin said Forty years have passed since one of the worst sectarian atrocities of the Troubles.
He added the pain of the families has not diminished over those decades and they deserve to see people brought to justice for the murder of their loved ones.
