Mid Ulster police say they've worked extremely hard over the weekend with 105 calls for assistance from the public.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said they had:
- 5 reports of assault
- 11 anti-social behaviour
- 7 concerns for safety
- 10 road traffic collisions
- 4 various traffic offences
- 1 missing person
- 1 assistance to Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service
- 4 incidents of theft
As a result, PSNI were forced to make 9 arrests during the weekend period.
Among the chaos, the local police assisted the turning on of the Christmas lights and attended the market in Magherafelt where they handed out advice.
