A petrol bomb has been thrown at a house in Loughinisland.
It happened in the early hours of this morning at Loughview Cottages.
No-one inside the property was hurt but damage was caused the front door.
A PSNI statement said:
Detectives are investigating a petrol bomb attack on a house in Loughinisland overnight.
Damage was caused to the front door, panelling and fascia at the Loughview Cottages address sometime between 11pm on Monday 9 December and 4am this morning, Tuesday 10 December.
The occupant who was inside at the time was unhurt.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to contact CID at Ardmore police station on 101, quoting reference 614 10/12/19.
Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestopers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
