Residents of Conars Court in Derry - Londonderry are hopeful that a resolution has been reached over housing concerns.
Homes in the area have been plagued by structural problems and issues relating to gas supply.
Habiteg Housing Association and other stakeholders met with residents last week in an effort to resolve the issues.
They have since drawn up a programme for work, which is set to begin in the coming days.
Councillor Mickey Coopers said:
"I'm pleased that as a result of our engagement with Habinteg, Building Control in Derry Strabane Council and the Health and Safety Executive, residents are now in possession of a detailed work plan for their homes.
"We have urged Habinteg to take feedback from each resident to ensure they are happy with the plan before work begins. On that basis we would hope that work will begin imminently to resolve issues which have caused residents untold problems over the last couple of years"
