Ian Paisley has controversially suggested that BBC Radio Foyle be scrapped.

He's told the Belfast Telegraph the North West station should be abolished as Northern Ireland news is "too parochial"

The North Antrim MP said " I can make a very strong case for Radio Ballymena."

But people in other towns would then be entitled to their own local stations "and it becomes so salami-sliced".
