The SDLP leader Colum Eastwood has condemned an attack on a party Counsillor's car

Brian Tierney's family were left shaken after the incident at his home in Derry/Londonderry last night. (Frid)

Cllr Tierney has four young children and lives in the Galliagh area.

No one was injured, with the fire having been extinguished by a member of the public.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them and in particular two males seen in the area.

Mr Eastwood says his party members will not be intimidated.
