Police are at the scene of a security alert close to the police station in Strabane.
The alarm was raised following the discovery of a suspicious object in the Church View area.
A number of homes in the area have been evacuated.

The PSNI have begun to evacuate homes in the area.
It’s an absolute disgrace that our community is being tortured in this way and put in danger by reckless thugs on an early Saturday morning.
A statement from the PSNI said:
"Police are currently in attendance at a security alert in Church View in Strabane following the discovery of a suspicious object."
"A number of homes have been evacuated while the object is examined."
"There are no further details at present."
