Shots have been fired at house in Coleraine during a 'reckless' attack.

Loud bangs were reported at around 2am this morning near Ballysally Road.

The occupant escaped injury during the attack which resulted in a number of windows being broken.

Detective Sergeant Higgins said: "After hearing the bangs, the injured party discovered a number of broken windows at the property.

"At this stage, it is believed that these bangs were gun shots.
