Two women have died in a road collision in Co.Louth.
It happened in Hunterstown near Ardee on the N2 main Dublin to Derry Road after 7.00pm.
It is understood they got off a bus when they were struck by a car whilst trying to cross the busy road.
Both women were aged in thier 60's and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The remains have now been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
The Driver of the car was uninjured.
Gardaí have sealed off the road, which is expected to remain closed overnight.
