Vandals have wrecked a Foyle Search and Rescue boat that had been anchored at a pontoon in Derry-Londonderry between searches for a missing man.
Damage was caused to sonar equipment and the body of the boat, which was being used in the search for the body of missing man Michael McGinley.
The vessel is one of four used by the rescue service to help those in distress in the water and recover bodies from the River Foyle.
Foyle Search and Rescue say their search operations will be unaffected and have asked anyone with information on the incident to contact police on 101.
