Armagh PSNI say they've been working with Revenue and Customs colleagues over the last few days.
Five vehicles have been seized by Customs for the use of illegal fuel.
One vehicle turned away from a checkpoint, but police say that the driver, much to his surprise, got a knock at the door later.
And they add they’ll "be seeing him in court".
