Detectives in West Belfast have revealed the extend of a major arms find discovered this weekend.
Four suspected firearms and a quantity of ammunition were seized on Saturday during searches at a house in the Norglen area.
Detective Inspector Peter Mullan said: The type of weapons and ammunition recovered are similar to those used in shooting attacks against members of this community and their seizure by police has undoubtedly frustrated the activity of individuals intent on creating fear on our streets.
Images released by the PSNI show the weapons seized, several different types of bullets and a number of suspected component parts of other devices.
D.I Mullan continued : “Detectives are continuing to investigate the matter and are appealing for anyone with information to contact CID on 101."
