A 34 year old woman has been charged with attempted murder and other offences following an incident at a house in East Belfast.
A woman aged 31 was assaulted at the property on Bendigo Street on Friday night.
She was taken to hospital,where her injuries are described as non life-threatening.
The PSNI said:
"Detectives have charged a 34 year old female with attempted murder, possession of offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and handling stolen goods. She is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday 28 October."
"As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service."
