A writer with Cookstown connections has been shortlisted for a Los Angeles Times book prize.
Author of ‘Swing Time’, Zadie Smith is married to Cookstown poet Nick Laird.
She’s among the five writers hoping to win the prize.
The winner will be announced in April.
