Ballymena United remain two points clear at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership after a 4-2 victory against Warrenpoint Town at the Q Radio Arena.

Linfield stay second following their impressive 4-1 home win over champions Crusaders.

Jordan Stewart scored a brilliant individual goal and was named man of the match.

 

 

Linfield manager David Healy has said Larne are hot favourites to win the race to sign Ballymena's transfer-listed striker Johnny McMurray.

He was responding to questions about the Blues' interest at the post-match press conference...

However, Healy still intends to hold talks with McMurray.

The defending champions slip to fifth, 10 points off the pace.

Cliftonville go above their local rivals into fourth place thanks to a 4-2 win against Glenavon at Solitude.

It's reported Lurgan Blues midfielder Mark Sykes is close to completing a move to English League Two Port Vale.

On Saturday night the County Armagh club told Q Radio nothing had been confirmed.

In the other Premiership matches, Coleraine beat basement club Ards 1-0, Dungannon drew 1-1 with Newry City and Glentoran had a 3-3 draw with Institute at the Brandywell.

Larne moved 17 points clear at the top of the Championship by beating closest rivals Dundela 5-0 at Inver Park.
