Linfield have extended their lead at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership.

With second-placed Coleraine not playing, the Blues moved five points clear after beating Warrenpoint Town 5-0 at Windsor Park on Tuesday night.

There were five different scorers, with Northern Ireland international Shayne Lavery again on target.

Ballymena ended Glentoran's six-game winning streak with a 2-0 victory at the Oval.

The first goal was wind-assisted directly from a Tony Kane comer, while ex-Glens full-back Ross Redman grabbed the second from close range after another corner.

Glenavon gained revenge for their derby defeat at the weekend, by beating Portadown 2-1 in the re-run at Shamrock Park.

Crusaders moved back up to third with a 3-1 win at Carrick Rangers.

They had to come from behind though - Daniel Kelly opened the scoring with a stunning strike for Carrick after 10 minutes.

Kris Lindsay has joined Paddy McLaughlin's backroom team at Cliftonville.

The ex-Linfield defender recently stepped down as Dungannon Swifts manager.

Lindsay took training at Solitude on Tuesday night ahead of Saturday's game against another former club, Glenavon.
