Linfield kick-off a big week of European action for Irish League teams when they take on Legia Warsaw in Poland on Tuesday evening (6pm).

It's a Champions League first round qualifier.

The Blues were awarded a walkover win in their preliminary final in Switzerland last week after two players from their scheduled opponents FC Drita tested positive for Covid-19 and the Kosovan team was ordered into quarantine by the Swiss health authorities.

David Healy's men warmed up for the trip to Warsaw with a friendly against Michael O'Neill's Stoke City on Saturday and lost 1-0. Defenders Jimmy Callacher and Ethan Boyle both picked up injuries.

The Glens host HB Tórshavn of the Faroe Islands (7pm).

A victory at the Oval would see the Irish Cup winners travel to Motherwell for a first round qualifier a week later.

Coleraine welcome La Fiorita of San Marino (7.30pm) and are favourites to progress to a first round meeting with Maribor of Slovenia.

Leaving Linfield - the McGuinness sisters.

In the Danske Bank Women's Premiership -

Sion Swifts have signed two star strikers from champions Linfield Ladies - captain Kirsty McGuinness and her sister Caitlin.

The Strabane-based Swifts finished runners-up to the Blues on goal difference last season.

The new league campaign starts next week.

County Armagh teenager Dane McCullough has clinched a move to the Premier League.

The 16-year-old left-back is joining Burnley from Portadown.

Another full-back, Aaron Traynor, is staying put - he's signed a two-year contract extension with Coleraine.

And Glentoran are to develop a full-time football academy in conjunction with the Ashfield Boys' High School:
