Glentoran have lifted the Danske Bank Women's Premiership League Cup, beating Sion Swifts 2-0 in Friday's final at Seaview.

Demi Vance scored both goals within a minute in the second half.

She earlier had a penalty saved by Sion's Jamaican World Cup goalkeeper Nicole McClure.

It was a night of double celebration for Glentoran's new American players as their national team also beat France in the World Cup quarter-finals.

Jessie Davis joined the Glens earlier this season while defensive partner Jackie Simpson only signed for the club last week.

Also on Friday night, Derry City had an impressive 4-1 victory away to Cork City.

Junior hit a hat-trick after David Parkhouse opened the scoring.
