A 61 year old man has been arrested as part of 'Operation Arcabia' - an ongoing investigation into the New IRA.
It follows a search and arrest operation in Lisburn this morning.
In a statement the PSNI said:
"Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Terrorism Investigation Unit carried out a search and arrest operation in Lisburn this morning (Monday, 8 March).
Detective Chief Superintendent Raymond Murray, Head of Serious Crime Branch, said: “Today’s arrest of a 61-year-old man is part of Operation Arbacia, an ongoing investigation into the activities of the New IRA.”
The man, arrested under the Terrorism Act, has been taken to Musgrave Police Station where he will be questioned by detectives".
