More than eight thousand cigarettes, fireworks and cocaine have been seized during a raid on a property in Maghterafelt.
The stash was uncovered when detectives from the PSNI Organised Crime Unit conducted a search in the area today.

Detective Inspector Shaw said: “Today’s search was a proactive organised crime operation targeting organised criminality in the Mid Ulster area. As a result of the search we recovered approximately 8,400 counterfeit cigarettes, a large number of fireworks and a quantity of suspected cocaine.
"A 22 year old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A controlled drug, possession of fireworks without a licence, trading in counterfeit products & possession of criminal property. The man has since been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
“Information from the public is key in our efforts to stop those who profit from illegal activities. I would ask anyone with any information which can assist us to target these individuals to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
