"A6 choice of route wrong" says conservationist

The Department of Infrastructure is wrong claiming its choice of route to extend the A6 is environmentally the best.

That's according to top conservationist Chris Murphy.

The nine mile project dualling the road from Castledawson to Randalstown is currently underway.

Chris Murphy isn't against the whole route, just a short stretch which endangers precious wetlands in "Seamus Heaney Country":
