A search of an Armagh river involving the PSNI and the Fire & Rescue Service has been called off after confirmation "nothing untoward" was found.
The search was activated following reports of a sixteen-year-old youth entering the River Callan from the bridge at Killylea Road, Armagh last night.
In a statement a PSNI spokesperson said: "We would like to take this opportunity to reassure those concerned, that the area was extensively checked by police and fire service using thermal imaging equipment . Thankfully nothing untoward was found."
A number of offers came in from the community to assist in the search but were not required.
