Belfast International are expanding their security lanes following 'chaotic delays' over recent months.
Many travellers took to social media to show long queues stretching through the airport as they vented their frustration at the wait.
In September of last year the Airport announced a new security provider; security and logistics specialist Wilson James.
A spokesperson said 'Our security search area is expanding to 8 lanes!
To do this we will reduce our security lanes from 6 to 5 lanes until Mid- March.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused & continue to remind customers to arrive 2 hours before departure.
Thank you for your ongoing patience.'
