The Chair of a proposed independent education review panel at Stormont could be paid £1500 a day.
That's despite the Department of Education facing a big budget shortfall.
Under the New Decade New Approach Stormont deal a commitment was given to carry out an independent review of education here.

Education has one of the biggest budgets in the Executive and the way the system is currently run is said to be not sustainable.
In order to reform things it's proposed a review panel be set up consisting of three members.
This would cost over a million pounds a year and the chair may be paid £1500 a day for sixty days work a year.
Today's briefing paper will be discussed by MLAs on the Education committee.
