A couple in thier 70's have been tied up during an agrevated burglary in Armagh.
A number of men armed with a poker forced entry to the property on the Portadown Road in Tandragee last night.
A sum of cash was handed over before the couple were bound and locked in a bathroom.
The man and woman suffered minor cuts to their wrists and were left badly shaken.
Inspector Philip Quinn said: “The intruders spoke with southern accents and wore black clothes, scarves covering their faces and woollen hats.
"It is unclear at this time if they left the scene in a vehicle or on foot.
"I would appeal to anyone who may have any information about the incident, or who witnessed any suspicious activity to contact officers in Armagh on 101."
