A Craigavon man has become the lucky owner of one of the most famous cars in the world.
Declan Halfpenny is now the new driver of a De Lorean - a car made famous of course by its role in the 1989 film - Back to the Future.
The car is not only synonymous with the film - but also with Northern Ireland as it was made and designed here.
“Surely everyone wants to own a DeLorean?” Declan said, after being announced as the winner. “Especially me, the original was made 20 minutes down the road from where I live!
The 49 year old says he's been left speechless after entering a competition to win the vehicle, worth £40,000.
“I love the Back to the Future films, they’re classics - as is this car. I can’t believe it!
“I’ll definitely be the talk of the car park wherever I go,” he added. “And I’m expecting a lot of people to want pictures with it - I would if I saw someone driving it!”
Declan also won £70,000 and told competition organisers he's not currently in work with the money will change his Christmas.
Competition organiser BOTB’s Christian Williams said: “Massive congratulations to Declan, he’s played for an absolutely amazing car and while we can’t promise any time travelling antics for him, I’m sure he’ll enjoy his new addition.”
