A developer is being sought for a four acre site at Ann Street in Dungannon.
It’s been derelict for more than thirty years.
Now, Mid-Ulster District Council has hired commercial property agent Lisney to seek development proposals.
It provides an opportunity for retail, commercial, office, leisure and residential uses.
The site is considered a unique gateway to the town centre due to its links to Market Square and Scotch Street.
Chair of Mid Ulster District, Councillor Trevor Wilson says the site has been long regarded as Dungannon’s flagship opportunity.
“The decision to dispose of the site by way of Development Brief is being driven by the need to ensure that a quality, urban regeneration scheme, that will return this vacant opportunity site to a viable and sustainable economic use, is delivered,” he says.

Lloyd Hannigan of Lisney, the selling agent appointed, says the property represents a comprehensive redevelopment and regeneration opportunity.
“Proposals are being sought for a mixed use, ideally retail led scheme which we envisage will appeal to a wide range of developers, given that we have already dealt with a number of unsolicited expressions of interest prior to the commencement of marketing,” he adds.
Development proposals for the site must be submitted by Friday 12th May.
