Detectives are appealing for information following four burglaries in the Dungannon area, which took place overnight between 10pm on Wednesday 13 December and 7am on Thursday 14 December.

During this time it's believed that a van was broken into on the Killymascally Road and a number of power tools stolen.

The items included two Hitachi and Dewalt-branded cordless drills, a Bosch hammer drill and an Hitachi jig saw.

Another theft of power tools from a garage on the same road was also reported to police. It's believed that a drill and a leaf blower were taken.

At another address on the Killymascally Road, a grey and black Suzuki outboard motor was taken from a workshop sometime overnight.

Christmas presents were stolen from a garage in the nearby Killycanavan Road area, including an Xbox, a Luvabella Doll and an Air Hog Drone.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or who is offered similar items for sale in suspicious circumstances should contact detectives in Cookstown on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 303 of 14/12/17.

A 4x4 type vehicle was seen in the area at around 3am on Thursday morning and police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed its movements.

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
