A fast food outlet in Dungannon has moved to reassure customers following the appearance of a puzzling photograph on social media. by Gillian McDade
A Facebook post has surfaced with a photograph of a half eaten burger - with what appears to be a tail.
Users had suggested that the questionable object was a mouse’s tail.
However, McDonald’s conducted an investigation.
And it’s assured customers that this was found to be a chicken vein.
The fast food company says the vein would have caused no harm if consumed.
McDonald’s also says food quality and safety are of the utmost importance – and that its stringent checks mean incidents like this are extremely rare.
The company’s apologised to the customer and has offered her a gift voucher.
