An East European supermarket chain has been fined £800, plus costs, for illegally selling prescription medicines from its Ballymena, Belfast and Lisburn stores.
The Department of Health seized seventy-four different medicine types and over 2 000 doses
found on open sale in the three 'Polita' stores, last October.
The illegal medicines were of Polish origin and included those for treating infections and for pain relief.
